The Beginning of a Republic:
The beginning of the Roman republic and empire in 338 B.C.
The year is 338 B.C. The rule at the time is the Carthage Empire, the strongest of it's time. Yet on the eastern side of the peninsula of modern-day Italy, a small village is coming to power, slowly rising and determined to destroy the Carthage Empire. But first, they have to face other challenges and fight other wars to win their village.
This small village on one of the famous Seven Hills of Rome by the Tiber River is Rome and will soon become the capital of the western world in about another two-hundred years. And they will create the biggest warfare military, the biggest empire.
However, in 338 B.C. Rome was constantly under attack by local tribes and old enemies in Etruria. They continue to gain land thanks to their lucky victories over each war and battle. Soon enough though, Etruria will finally be weakened for good as a new enemy called the Gaul take over. The Celtics will join and destory Etruria almost. Then both new enemies will move on and plaque Rome with more wars. Determined, the early Romans will fight back, gaining more land and taking back Latium. Even if they do lose Latium to the Samnites, they will destory the Latin League that rose to power in 380 B.C. And they will come to peace agreements with the Samnites.
